Channel
Channels are auto-discovered after the posting phone pairs and WhatsApp delivers a history sync. If yours isn't here yet, post a test message to it from the phone — or use the manual lookup below.
How do I find the channel link?
Easiest — invite link from WhatsApp on your phone:
- Open WhatsApp → Updates tab → open the Platypus Economics channel.
- Tap the channel name at the top to open Channel info.
- Tap Share link (Android) or Invite via link (iOS).
- Tap Copy link — it looks like
https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va.... Paste it above.
- Open
web.whatsapp.com, click the Channels (megaphone) icon in the left rail, open the channel. - Click the channel name at the top → Channel info → Share link → Copy.
1234567890@newsletter. You'd typically only have this if you've inspected a Baileys log or a previous channel record.
Important: the posting phone's WhatsApp account must already be an admin of this channel to send posts to it. Looking it up here only registers it with the app — it does not grant admin rights.
Mode
YouTube cross-post
When a Substack post has a video, the app looks for a matching upload on this YouTube channel and uses the YouTube link as the WhatsApp preview (more compelling than text-only). Matching is by title similarity within ±3 days. Leave blank to disable.
